McKayla Rose Maroney is an American gymnast competing for the USA at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
After a promising start in 2009 at the Visa Championships and again in 2010 at the CoverGirl Classic, she scored her first Medal in August of 2010 at the Visa Championships.
In 2011, she rocketed to fame in her performance at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Jesolo, Italy, Visa Championships, and World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Now, in 2012 her superstar performances have led her to London to compete for the USA in the Summer Olympics.
After an amazing contribution to Team USA's first Olympic Gold Medal in the Women's Team Final since 1996, McKayla followed up with another series of amazing vaults, earning a Silver Medal in the Women's Vault at just 16 years old.
McKayla is taking time to travel, train, and meet her fans, as well as perform in events such as the Kelogg's tour.
